Deepika’s hit formula

The lovely Miss D is chilling at home and revelling in success of her recent hit. Of whattt? Yeah we know... that’s what you’re thinking lovelies, right?

Trust us, she’s definitely not celebrating a movie called CC2C (Chandni Chowk to China it is), but the gal is super thrilled with the amazing response to her number in Billu ‘Love Mera Hit Hit’.

Apparently a lot of producers have made a beeline for one hit item number with Deepika Padukone. She’s a hottie, alright, but she no item gal, dudes. She hasn’t even signed on any new projects recently; she wants to keep her dates free, so that when a biggie comes her way, she can grab it without an afterthought. Wonder what she is waiting for? Maybe another chance with SRK? Or a Bachchan this time. Who knows? Well, you gotta be doubly sure gal; a double role doesn’t come with dugna success, does it?

Pretty Woman in Pink City - Deepika Padukone

She is just three films old but that doesn’t stop her from being one of the hottest actresses in Bollywood. Recently, the Pink City caught a glimpse of glam girl Deepika Padukone who was here to be a part of an event organised by a soft drink brand. However, this is not Deepika’s first visit to the Pink city. The actress was here last week too.

This time around, Deepika arrived in the city on Thursday and was directly escorted to her hotel amidst tight security. In spite of spending an entire day in Jaipur, Deepika did not venture out of the hotel to sight see or shop. Says a source from the hotel, “Deepika was inside her room most of the time and security was tightened inside the hotel. Even the staff from the hotel was not allowed to wait on her. She was looked after by the staff from the soft drink brand. Deepika was served a buffet lunch which comprised of traditional Rajasthani dishes which included chicken curry, dal, paneer, chapatti and rice.” Deepika left her hotel early on Friday morning. She walked into the airport looking lovely in a white sweatshirt, white capris and huge sunglasses. Most of the passengers at the airport were not able to recognise the stunning actress immediately, but when they did, there was a beeline for autographs. As she was whiskered away by the security personnel of the airlines, the Pink City was left hoping that this pretty woman would be back soon.

Rishi Kapoor accepts Deepika as his bahu

Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone's marriage is finally fixed. Papa Rishi Kapoor has given green signal to their relationship and now it's only the choice of the couple when to convert their decision into reality. On the show Oye! Its Friday! hosted by Farhan Akhtar, Ranbir accepted the truth of their love relationship; he had brought to rest all those wrong rumors of their break-up. He accepted that they are more than good friends.

Rishi Kapoor seemed more than happy to have Deepika as his bahu. He said that he has no objection on Ranbir's choice and whoever his son wished to marry, he would cordially accept as his loving bahu. But things are not as easy as it is sounding. Ranbir's mom Neeetu Singh is dead against their relationship and creating hurdle in their love relationship. She has objection with Deepika and not in the favor to make her Kapoor Khandhan's bahu.

On a particular occasion, Neetu Singh raised doubts about Deepika and remarked that Deepika is just another girlfriend of Ranbir. She said, "Both are very young. It's a long way to go before marriage. No one knows what future holds for them". Ranbir's sister Riddhima has also raised objection in their relationship and finding hard to accept Deepika as her Bhabhi.

Whatever, if Deepika-Ranbir are determined to get married, no force can depart them. Let's wait and see what's coming up next.

According to Yahoo, Deepika Padukone is now the most searched for Bollywood actress, overtaking the previous lead Katrina Kaif, in one crude measure of popuarity. Shilpa Shetty, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Bipasha Basu also featured prominently in the list. Deepika will be popping up in an item number in Billu Barber soon and is currently working on Love Aaj Kal with Saif Ali Khan and Rahul Khanna.

Although Chandni Chowk to China was not as great a success as had been hoped, Deepika's fringed look in the movie appears to have caught on with the younger generation with stylists suggesting that bangs are back. "Sporting a fringe will be the coolest thing of this year as the style is back in vogue," says stylist Mallika Bhat, "It hides your age and makes you look younger. Fringe goes well for people who have a broad forehead - when fringes fall on their forehead, it gives a definite shape to their face cut."

As a style icon, who does Deepika herself look up to? "I look up to Sushmita Sen when it comes to style," she confesses, "I like to wear clothes that make me feel comfortable. I am not a very brand conscious person. The one thing that is most important for me is comfort. I have to be comfortable in whatever I am wearing."
